Click the OK button to leave the MacHeadlines Preferences dialog and save your changes.
Click the Cancel button to leave the MacHeadlines Preferences dialog without keeping your changes.
To switch between different panels of the Preferences dialog, select the appropriate option from this menu.

Check this box to prevent the Ticker window from floating above all other windows.
Double-click a site to track it. MacHeadlines provides listings of headlines from various web sites and links to those sites. Trexar is in no way related or affiliated with those sites and owns no rights in their content.
To Remove selected sites from the Tracked Web Sites list, click this button.
To Edit the tracking information of the selected site, click this button.
To Add a site to the Tracked Web Sites list, click this button.
Click the Import button to add a previously Exported list of Tracked Sites information.
Click the Export button to Export the current list Tracked Sites information.
The Exported information can later be Imported back, using the Import button.
If unchecked, MacHeadlines begins cycling through the list of tracked sites. If checked, each tracked site is allocated 20 seconds per headline, delaying the presentation of subsequent sites.
Click the “Background…” button to detemine the background color of the MacHeadlines window.

Check this box if you would like headlines to appear underlined.

Check this box if you would like MacHeadlines to notify you of new mail by playing a sound.
Select the sound you would like MacHeadlines to play when new mail arrives. (The Play Sound checkbox must be checked.)
Check this box if you would like MacHeadlines to notify you of new mail by displaying a dialog onscreen.
For smoother scrolling, select More Smooth from the Scrolling Method popup menu. For better compatability with other applications, select More Compatible.
Enter your HTTP Proxy user name name here (e.g. Jane Doe).
Enter your HTTP Proxy password here.
Set the number of message headlines that should be retrieved, if the Display Mail Headers box is checked. The maximum value is 100. A value of 0 means retrieve all.
Define how ΓÇ£freshΓÇ¥ retrieved mail must be in order to be considered new.
Check this box to use Text Encoding on Non-English web sites. Note: Text Encoding may slow down MacHeadlines' performance.
